What is CardGen+?

CardGen+ is a simple, clean random playing card and position generator. With a single tap, you can generate a random card from a standard 52-card deck, a random position from 1 to 52, or both at once.

Whether you need a quick random card for a game, a practice session, or just for fun, CardGen+ gets the job done with no fuss.

How to Use

  1. Tap the "Position" button to generate a random number from 1 to 52.
  2. Tap the "Card" button to generate a random playing card from the deck.
  3. Tap the card image to generate both a random card and a random position at the same time.

Tip: Each tap is completely independent — every card and position has an equal chance of being selected each time.

The Screen

Card Display

The large card image in the center shows the most recently generated card. Tap it to randomize both the card and position simultaneously.

Position Display

Below the card, you'll see "Your random position is:" followed by a number between 1 and 52. This updates each time you tap the Position button or the card image.

Buttons

Position: Generates only a new random position (1–52), leaving the current card unchanged.

Card: Generates only a new random card, leaving the current position unchanged.

Tips

Quick randomize: Tap the card image for the fastest way to get a fresh card and position together.

Independent generation: Use the individual buttons when you only need to change one value without affecting the other.

Advanced Settings

CardGen+ includes a hidden settings panel for advanced users. To access it, triple-tap the "Random Card Generator" title at the top of the screen. Three taps within a short window will open the settings sheet.

Stack Work

The Stack Work toggle activates an advanced mode that uses the Mnemonica memorized stack by Juan Tamariz.

When Stack Work is OFF, the app behaves as a purely random card and position generator. Every tap produces a completely random result.

When Stack Work is ON, a timing-based mechanic is activated:

Tapping the card image always produces random results, regardless of timing or whether Stack Work is enabled.

Tip: The 5-second window resets after every tap. Rapid tapping always produces random results — only a deliberate pause activates the match.

Mnemonica Card Showing

This setting tells the app which card is currently on top of your Mnemonica stack. It determines the offset used to calculate deal positions.

Enter a card code using the rank followed by the suit letter:

For example: 9D (Nine of Diamonds), KH (King of Hearts), 10C (Ten of Clubs), AS (Ace of Spades).

The default value is 9D, which corresponds to position 52 — the bottom card of an uncut Mnemonica stack. Change this value if you've cut the deck or if a different card is showing on top.
